KATHMANDU, Dec 22: About 15-20 houses were completely damaged in the earthquake that hit Bajura on Saturday morning. The District Administration Office Bajura has said that about 150 houses were partially damaged and 15-20 houses have been completely destroyed.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred at 4:14 am on Saturday morning with its epicenter around Gotree in Bajura.

The most damage occurred in Gotri Darjitol, Jagannath Municipality-5, which is the epicenter of the earthquake.
The area is remote, and the authorities have not yet gathered detailed information from all affected locations. The ward, municipality, police administration and other agencies are involved in the rescue work and the necessary work is being carried out after the earthquake.
People are living in some partially damaged houses. According to the district police office, Bajura, some of the family members of the completely damaged houses are living in the open land, at their relatives, or in their own other houses or sheds.
Bajura police also said that the total number of houses completely damaged could be around 15, though police have not yet reached all the affected areas.
