International goalkeeper Buffon meets PM Oli

Former captain of the Italian national football team, Gianluigi Buffon, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister K P Oli on Monday.

KATHMANDU, March 3: Former captain of the Italian national football team, Gianluigi Buffon, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister K P Oli on Monday.


Buffon, the international goalkeeper, is in Nepal as the chief guest for the closing ceremony of the 3rd KP Oli Cup Football Championship organized by the National Youth Association of Nepal. Prime Minister Oli hosted him on Monday morning at the Prime Minister Oli's official residence in Baluwatar.

First Lady Radhika Shakya, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Eak Narayan Aryal, President of the All Nepal Football Association Pankaj Rai, Chairman of the National Youth Association of Nepal Kshitij Thebe and Buffon's family members, among others, were present during the meeting.


The championship, which started on February 23, will conclude this evening at Dasarath Stadium.
