CHITWAN, July 1: The 'Rotary Musahar Model Settlement' constructed in Sisawar in ward no 7 of Ratnanagar municipality has been handed over on Saturday.
The settlement including 12 houses in the first phase was constructed with support from Rotary Clubs of Chitwan, Narayangarh, Ratnanagar, Bharatpur, Narayani mid-town and Gaindakot.
Half of the total cost of Rs. 5.8 million incurred was covered by the Hasta Bahadur Foundation. Another 12 houses will be constructed in the second phase, according to the construction committee coordinator Rajendra Kumar Shrestha.

The three-room house also includes a kitchen and a toilet. A children's park and community building will be constructed later. The settlement is spread in 15 kattha of land bought for the Musahar families in Ratnanagar-7, Chitwan.
At the programme, Mayor of Ratnanagar announced support for Musahar students' education up to the post-graduate level.
Musahar settlement leader Bhagwanti Musahar expressed happiness over the construction of the houses, which will ease their living henceforth. RSS
