And about 15 per cent of work has already been completed so far within a short period of its beginning. About 300 workers have been mobilized for the construction project, said foundation coordinator Arjun Prasad Neupane.

According to Neupane, foundation works for the houses have been expedited with local social organizations, volunteers and Nepal police and Armed Police Force supporting the project.

Similarly, settlement users committee chair Manjaya Sada shared that around 100 local Musahar people are contributing voluntary labor to the project.

According to the campaigners, the settlement would be made children and disabled-friendly including a community building, a garden and a temple and open yards with a total of 50 houses.
