KATHMANDU, Nov 24: President Ram Chandra Paudel has granted approval for the mobilization of the Nepali Army in the local by-elections to be held on December 1.
According to the President’s Office, President Paudel has approved the decision to mobilize the Nepali Army to ensure a safe, fear-free and peaceful environment during the by-elections.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers on November 21 and the recommendation of the Prime Minister, the approval for the deployment of the Nepali Army has been granted in accordance with the Sub-section (2) of Article 66 of the Constitution of Nepal.
