Between faith and disbelief: How has Kathmandu become the capital of urban shamanism?

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Over the past decade, Kathmandu has become a melting pot of languages, cultures, and religions. Amid this diversity, a common thread is the widespread faith in shamanism, especially the healing practices of Dhami, Jhankri and Mata. Despite significant advances in modern medicine, shamanism continues to draw people in Kathmandu, providing comfort and solutions when other methods fall short.
