KATHMANDU, Oct 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday slipped 4.05 points to close at 1,903.84 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,907.89 points and plunged to the day’s low at 1,894.43 points in the first 45 minutes of trading. The market then took an upward graph and reached as high as 1,915.98 points 50 minutes before the trading closed for the day. In the remaining time period, the market shed around 12 points.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also inched up 0.13 points. The daily turnover slightly improved to Rs 970.61 million from Rs 934.89 million on Wednesday.
Four trading groups -- banking, ‘others,’ investment and mutual funds—were the gainers. Of the nine remaining groups, non-life insurance and life insurance lost the highest mark of 42.32 points and 34.95 points, respectively.
Among individual companies, the market values of 150 companies declined whereas 80 companies posted gain in their indices.
Nabil Bank Limited Promoter Share had trading of its shares worth Rs 59 million and stood on top of the transaction volume lists. Upper Solu Hydro Electric Company lost the highest of 8.25 percent of its market price. Citizens Mutual Fund 2 stood as the biggest gainer with 5.87 percent hike in its market price.
