KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday declined marginally by 1.85 points to close at 2,010.21 points.
The market opened at 2,012.07 points and surged to the day’s high at 2,018.06 points in the first half an hour. In the next moment, the market went through a series of fluctuations and reached the day’s low at 2,004.7 points before the last 15 minutes of the trading time. The market recovered around six points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies gained 0.53 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 2.29 billion from Rs 2.87 billion on Monday.
Six groups had their market indices increase, while microfinance added the highest of 72.57 points. Out of the seven losers, hotels and tourism shed the highest of 29.80 points.
Among individual companies, 109 were recorded as gainers whereas 127 were the losers.
Gurkhas Finance Ltd had the largest transactions of its shares worth Rs 149.88 million. Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 lost the highest of 7.50 percent of its market price, while Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was recorded as the topmost gainer.
