Nepal Telecom to extend the deadline for billing during lockdown

KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepal Telecom has announced that it will extend the deadline for billing for its internet and landline customers during the lockdown period. The telecom will also extend the time period for billing of various payments as well.

KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepal Telecom has announced that it will extend the deadline for billing for its internet and landline customers during the lockdown period. The telecom will also extend the time period for billing of various payments as well.


According to the press release of Nepal Telecom, if the deadline for billing of any ADSL or FTTH customers is past due during March 24 to 31 then the telecom will extend the deadline for payment and their lines will not be disconnected.

Telecommunication is one of the many essential services listed by the government and millions of customers rely on telecommunication services for communication and to receive information about the coronavirus.


Nepal Telecom has taken this step till the lockdown period so that its customers do not have to worry about paying their bills or getting their lines disconnected.


Likewise, Nepal Telecom has also decided to waive the penalty for customers not paying their bills on time. The penalty is waived for customers if their last date of billing is from March 24 to 31.
