RPP Chair Lingden, six leaders released after Singha Durbar protest arrest

KATHMANDU, April 20: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, and six other leaders of the party, arrested for violation of restricted area, have been released. 


They were held in charge of demonstrating in the restricted areas of Singha Durbar and Baneshwar. The leaders set free by the police included Chairman Lingden, Vice Chairman Buddhi Man Tamang, lawmaker Gyan Bahadur Shahi, Chairman of Youth Front Kailash Katuwal and others, according to Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson for the District Police Range.

Seven leaders including RPP Chairman Lingden were set free on Sunday evening, he added.
