KATHMANDU, April 20: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has been assigned the responsibility of acting president.
According to Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba entrusted Khadka with the role in accordance with Article 25, Sub-Article (13) of the Nepali Congress Statute, 2017 (with amendments).

Deuba left for Thailand on Sunday for medical reasons, and has appointed Khadka as acting president until his return, said Chief Secretary Paudel.
