KATHMANDU, April 1: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed the party’s Vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka as the acting president of NC.
As Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for a three-day official visit to India on Friday, Khadka has been appointed as the acting president of the party, according to NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for New Delhi on Friday afternoon on a three-day official visit to neighboring India, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is Prime Minister Deuba's first official visit since becoming Prime Minister for the fifth time.
