KATHMANDU, Aug 22: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has designated the responsibility of acting Prime Minister to Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for Singapore for his health check-up today.
President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, entrusted DPM Pokharel with the responsibility of the acting PM to look after the day-to-day administration of the country in absence of PM Oli, reads a press release issued today by the Office of the President.
