KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepal recorded 26 new cases of COVID-19 along with 77 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Wednesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,192 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, one antigen and 25 PCR tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 1,167 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 1,096 are in self-isolation, 50 in institutional isolation, 18 in ICUs and three on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded eight cases of COVID-19 on the same day. All the eight cases were recorded in Kathmandu district.
