The telecom regulator said service charges must be fair and reasonable, with providers required to submit proposed tariffs for approval at least three months before their effective date, as stipulated in NTA directives.
The authority also reminded providers that they must publicly disclose approved rates and cannot increase charges without prior approval or collect fees exceeding the approved tariffs.
The NTA warned that violations would invite action under the Telecommunications Act and Regulations.
