PANCHTHAR, June 19: The team of the Nepal Army (NA) has rescued 12 people who were trapped due to flood and landslides in Panchthar following incessant rain. A total of 12 people from three houses, who were trapped since Sunday night, were rescued this morning with the help of a helicopter belonging to the NA.
According to the District Police Office in Panchthar, those who were trapped in the landslide located at Yangwarak Rural Municipality 1, Panchthar, were rescued and kept at Bishnu Secondary School in Chaungtha.

The 60-year-old Narmaya Gurung, her 16-year-old grandson Sandeep Gurung, her granddaughter Hima Gurung, and the local residents of Panchthar Yangwarak Rural Municipality-1 have been rescued.
Similarly, 80-year-old Krishna Bahadur Gurung, his 60-year-old wife Dikmaya Gurung, his 35-year-old son Kaju Hang Gurung, and his 30-year-old daughter-in-law Sunita Gurung were also among those rescued by the NA team.
Additionally, 43-year-old Man Bahadur Gurung, his 44-year-old wife Man Kumari Gurung, their 16-year-old daughter Sushma Gurung, 70-year-old Padam Bahadur Khaling, and his 68-year-old wife Manmaya Khaling from the same place were rescued, the police said.
