KATHMANDU, March 27: Nepal have been placed in Group 'F' in the qualifying round of the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026. The Nepali Women’s National Team will face off against globally 50th ranked Uzbekistan team in the group stage of the qualifiers.
The draw, held on Thursday in Malaysia, put Nepal in the same group as host Uzbekistan, along with Laos and Sri Lanka. A total of 34 teams have been divided into eight groups.

The qualifying matches for Group F will take place in Uzbekistan in June. Nepal have played Uzbekistan three times so far but have lost in all three encounters. Nepal have not yet played against Laos, while they have won all eight of their matches against Sri Lanka.
The Asian Cup will be held in Australia in March 2026. The winner of each group in the qualification round will secure a spot in the Asian Cup. Twelve teams will participate in the tournament. The hosts Australia, China, South Korea and Japan have already qualified for the tournament.
