KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Skies will be generally cloudy across most mountain and hill areas today, while the Tarai will be partly cloudy, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at some places in the mountains and hills on Sunday afternoon. Higher mountain areas may also receive snowfall. A few places in the Tarai could see moderate rain, while isolated areas in the hills of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may receive heavy rain.
Heavy rain and snowfall likely in several regions today
Cloudy conditions are expected to continue in the mountains and hills tonight. Moderate rain or snow, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is possible at a few places in the mountain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, and at isolated places in Lumbini and Sudurpashchim.
Moderate rain is also possible in parts of the hills across all six provinces and at isolated places in the Tarai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini.
Authorities have urged people to check local weather conditions before travelling, farming or carrying out other daily activities.
