KATHMANDU, March 30: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for an all-party meeting to assess and evolve a common position on Friday’s violent protests organized by pro-monarchy groups in Kathmandu. The meeting aims to address the situation arising from the protests.


The meeting has been scheduled for 7 pm at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed the chief whips of parties represented in Parliament about the all-party meeting scheduled this evening, CPN-UML Chief Whip Devendra Bartaula said.


Bartaula said that PM Oli had a telephone conversation with Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the leader of the main opposition, CPN Maoist Centre, regarding the violent protests organized by royalist groups.
