NCC delegation meets Industry Minister

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: A delegation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce (NCC) met the new Minister for Industry, Nabindra Raj Joshi, on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: A delegation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce (NCC) met the new Minister for Industry, Nabindra Raj Joshi, on Sunday.



The delegation led by NCC president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, apprised Minister Joshi of different different problems that the country's industrial sector is facing at present.



On the occasion, NCC president expressed hope that the industrial sector will get relief during Minister Joshi's tenure.



Shrestha also urged the need to endorse Industrial Enterprises Act at the earliest to address major issues in the industrial sector like lack of energy, technology and capital, among others.



On the occasion, Minister Joshi said that the government will remove all existing hurdles in the industrial sector and work with the private sector for creating an environment where the industrial sector can flourish.



“The government will work to reduce capital flight, endorse different pending acts related to industry sector and foster inter-ministerial coordination, among others,” Joshi said at the meeting, according to a statement issued by NCC.
