Man goes missing while swimming in Tamor River

Following the report, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Nima Sherpa from the District Police Office was deployed for the search operation, which is still ongoing, Inspector Basnet said.

TAPLEJUNG, Oct 25: A man from Dokhu in Phungling Municipality, Taplejung, has gone missing while swimming in the Tamor River.



According to District Police Office spokesperson and information officer, Inspector Bivek Basnet, the missing person has been identified as 30-year-old Rajan Kambang of Phungling Municipality-7, Dokhu.

Police said Kambang had gone swimming in the Tamor River at a place called Khadkude in Phungling Municipality-8 while returning home from his in-laws’ house. Local resident Dilli Gurung informed police after Kambang went missing while swimming.
