KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Nepali communities in the United States of America have US Dollars 226,000 in financial assistance to the government. The assistance is meant for supporting survivors of the recent devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi-Trishuli river system, it is said.
A cheque for the assistance was handed to Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, who is presently in New York in the course his attendance in the 81st session of UN General Assembly (UNGA), according to the Minister's secretariat.

The assistance was separately managed and provided by the NH Nepali Society (US Dollars 120,000), America Nepal Helping Society (US Dollars 93,000) and the Gurung Society (US Dollars 13,000).
On the occasion, Minister Khanal expressed his gratitude to the Nepali diaspora for standing in solidarity with the people of Nepal and supporting the country during a time of crisis.
