MAKWANPUR, July 13: A teenager went missing while swimming in Simlang Stream, located in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-1 of Makwanpur district, on Saturday afternoon.
According to the District Police Office (DPO), Makwanpur, 17-year-old Pranaya Gupta (Karna), originally from Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City-1 of Bara and currently residing in Maitighar, Kathmandu, went missing while swimming.

The DPO said Gupta had come to visit the tourist area of Markhu in Makwanpur with his friends. He disappeared after diving into the Simlang Stream at around 4:30 PM.
His friends immediately informed the police following the incident. Upon receiving the information, a joint team from the Palung Area Police Office, Chitlang, and Markhu Police Post was deployed to carry out the search operation.
Police said his whereabouts remain unknown, and the search operation is still ongoing.
