JHAPA, Oct 24: A youth died after a dispute with locals at Birtamod municipality-5 in the district turned nasty on Thursday night.
After a severe dispute, the locals beat up Jagan Rajbanshi, 30, causing his death. Attacked and left to die, Rajbanshi was rushed to B and C Hospital, Birtamod, but the doctors pronounced him dead.

DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka at Jhapa District Police Office informed that Hem Bahadur Chaudhari, 26, was taken under control from Shivashatakshi Municipality-7 in Jhapa in connection with the killing. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
