KATHMANDU, March 5: Police have arrested Rupesh Mandal, the main accused in the death of 17-year-old Rinku Kumari Sadaya from Siraha.
Rinku, a resident of Bhagwatipur, Nawarajpur Rural Municipality-1, was found hanging in her tin-roofed house on February 2. Three days earlier, she had gone missing for six hours after going out to defecate at night. She later returned home in tears at 3 am and told her parents she had been gang-raped.

Following her statement, a village panchayat meeting was held to discuss the case before her death.
