Lawmaker Kunwar demands justice for Saurya Airlines crash victims

KATHMANDU, March 5: CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Sher Bahadur Kunwar, on Monday, demanded justice for the families of the victims of the Saurya Airlines crash that occurred last July.


Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting, he stated that making a four-year-old child an airline employee and allowing them to travel was illegal. He also criticized the commission formed to investigate the accident, calling it illegal, and urged for the formation of a new commission.

He said, “Seven months ago, on July 24, journalist Prakash Khatiwada, who lost three children in the Saurya Airlines crash at Kathmandu Airport, sent messages to all concerned parties regarding the incident. According to his claim, the flight of the crashed plane was illegal, and a four-year-old child was even made an airline employee. The commission formed to investigate the incident is also illegal. A new commission should be formed to investigate and deliver justice to the victims.”
