KATHMANDU, March 5: The CPN (Maoist Center) has raised a question in today’s session of Parliament, challenging the performance evaluation of Kulman Ghising. They have questioned the zero marks given to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Kulman Ghising in the performance evaluation in the House of Representatives (HoR).
As soon as the House of Representatives meeting began on Wednesday, Maoist lawmakers stood up from their seats and disrupted the meeting. After that, Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave time to Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of the Maoist Center, to speak. Pandey questioned the reasoning behind seeking clarifications from Kulman Ghising and the zero marks given to his work performance evaluation.

"We keep hearing that Executive Director Kulman Ghising is being asked to provide clarifications repeatedly and has been given zero marks in his performance review," he said, "How does the government justify awarding zero marks to someone who has been performing well and generating profit for the Electricity Authority? Why aren’t government ministries being held accountable for their evaluations and responsibilities?"
He also demanded a ruling from the Speaker to seek the government’s response.
