KATHMANDU, March 8: There has been light rain in the hilly areas of the country including the Kathmandu Valley. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, although it is cloudy all over the country, sporadic rainfall is likely only in some places.
Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati Province and other hilly and Himalayan areas of the west are experiencing snowfall in few places and light rain in some hilly places.

According to the DHM, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. In the afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy to normal in the hilly areas of the country, and the weather will be clear in the rest of the country.
