522,000 students to participate for SEE this year, including 37 from Japan

A significant number of examinees from Japan are also set to participate in this year's SEE. According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, 37 candidates from Japan are set to participate.

KATHMANDU, March 6: This year, 522,000 students will participate in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) to be held on March 20.


According to the National Examination Board (NEB), Office of the Controller of Examinations, the exams will include 468,000 regular students, 50,000 for grade improvement (2080 BS), and 4,000 for grade improvement of previous years (2078-079BS).

Similarly, a significant number of examinees from Japan are also set to participate in this year's SEE. According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, 37 candidates from Japan are set to participate.


Stating that the necessary preparations are being made for them from Nepal, Acting Controller of Examinations Bishnu Prasad Gyawali said that we are preparing to send the question papers and answer sheets to Japan and bring them back to Nepal for testing.


Students studying the Nepali curriculum at Everest International School, Japan in Tokyo, with permission from the Japanese government, whose parents are in Japan for employment, will take the exam. Gyawali said that education in Japan will also be conducted according to the Nepali curriculum. The school, which opened in 2013, is affiliated with Nepal and operates up to grade 10.


The SEE exams will be held at 2,131 exam centers. The printing of question papers is currently underway.
