518 Nepali women in Indian jail

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: A total of 518 Nepali women "in possession of forged documents" are been put inside the Tihar Jail in India, said a government official in Kathmandu on Monday. Information Officer at the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management, Tirtha Khanal, told the weekly press conference in Kathmandu that the women were en route to the third country for employment.

 

Also speaking at the press meet, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Suresh Pradhan said the Ministry has already instructed the Nepalese Embassy in India to get the details about the women.
