November 20 has been marked as the International Children´s Rights Day to remember the Children´s Rights Convention ratified by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989. [break]
According to Balbalika Khojtalas Kendra (centre for children lost and found), as many as five children in Nepal go missing, daily.
General Secretary of the NGO Federation, Manoj Kandel, said the November 20 should be marked as the day of commitment for children rights rather than marking it as an occasion.
