A total 5,324 students sat for the SLC examinations held in March from the district under regular stream. Of them, 4,058 have passed the exams with 1,295 with distinction marks, according to District Education Officer Ramakanta Sharma.The results were published Friday.
Likewise, only 25 students out of 320 under exempted category have passed the exams which was considered as a 'iron gate' to pursue higher education.
Two community-run schools in Gundu and Bhawarcha have produced cent per cent results at a time when many community schools in the country are giving nil results.
An increment in the pass results is due to strict school monitoring programme and hiring of trained teachers in learning activities, he said. RSS
