The demands span a wide range of political, constitutional and economic issues—from the abolition of the Constitution and restoration of the monarchy to the establishment of a directly elected executive prime minister. The group has also called for the waiver of loans taken from banks and financial institutions and for creating an environment in which Nepal is built by Nepalis and domestic trade is conducted by Nepalis themselves.
Other major demands include scrapping the Constitution and establishing a Hindu kingdom aligned with Vedic Sanatan traditions, incorporating Buddhist and Kirant traditions, along with a constitutional monarchy. The group has insisted that such issues be settled through a referendum.
Additionally, the demands seek the abolition of the federal structure and the restoration of the previous administrative system of five development regions, 14 zones and 75 districts. The group has also called for the nationalization of banks and financial institutions, with a separation of risk funds from banks and businesses.
The Mahaabhiyan had submitted its 27-point demand letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs on November 12.
