The programme was organised by Editors’ Society Nepal on the occasion of the 20th memorial day of Govinda Biyogi, the Society’s founding chairman.
He appreciated the role played by the late Biyogi in the restoration of democracy and urged the Editors’ Society to continue working to transform Nepali society along the path of progress.
On a separate note, he expressed concern over the state of the Nepali Congress, noting that it is unfortunate that a party which has historically played a leading role in the country’s democratic movement has reached its current condition.
