NASA prepares to rollout Artemis II rocket

NASA is set to roll out Artemis II mission, a 10-day crewed flight planned for February that will take astronauts around the Moon and back to Earth.

NASA’s Artemis II mission hardware is being prepared for rollout as the integrated Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft stand inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.

According to NASA, the SLS rocket and Orion capsule are scheduled to be rolled out to Launch Pad 39B ahead of the Artemis II mission planned for February 2026.


Artemis II will be a 10-day crewed mission that will send astronauts around the Moon and return them safely to Earth, marking a key step in NASA’s Artemis programme aimed at expanding human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit.
