Me

April 12, 2019 11:00 am

Don't fall for me

April 9, 2019 09:10 am

You and me, and everybody else

May 25, 2018 08:50 am

In our culture (and by that I mean Nepali and Indian both since I’m a Nepali who’s married and lives in India), a relationship or marriage is hardly ever just about two people. There is a horde of relatives, distant relatives, friends, friends of friends, and even the neighbors involved. All the people around a couple seem to have their own ideas as to what’s best for them.

Remember me

Remember me when the clouds are gurgling, And when the stars are twinkling too, Remember me when all hopes are out, When happiness flows right into you.

Give me wings and I shall fly

May 19, 2018 10:00 am

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but are a little scared of? Yeah, me too! Wandering around Lakeside in Pokhara, I was fascinated by the paragliders flying just above the beautiful Fewa Lake. I gazed at them dancing and swinging in the air and thought that I did not have courage to do it. I was scared of heights and I was scared of flying and yet, there I was, feeling a strong urge to experience this extreme adventure sport.

Dear! love me once

May 17, 2018 09:59 am

Writing poems liberate me

March 14, 2017 23:30 pm

Prakriti Nakarmi had always been soft spoken and introvert among her group of friends. She dreaded socializing and couldn’t express herself. But in writing she found her safe haven. She started keeping diary at 12 but soon realized that it would be embarrassing if someone came across it. She then tried her hand on story writing; however it seemed too unembellished for ever changing life of a teenager. It was poem that took her on an expedition of emotions and sensations. Grade 12 student Prakriti Nakarmi, in tête-à-tête with Republica’s Prasansha Rimal talks about her experience of being a normal teenager and a published poet.
