KATHMANDU, July 31: The weather conditions are likely to remain generally cloudy across the country today. There is a chance of light to moderate rain at a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

A few places in the Tarai are likely to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces today.
The weather service mentioned that monsoon winds are currently influencing the entire country, and the monsoon trough is positioned near its average location.
