KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Ujjwal Tara School of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-9 has announced to contribute Rs 500,000 to an initiative championed by Dr Bhagwan Koirala to build a world-class children's hospital in the capital.
Anil Thapa, a local resident, also announced to contribute Rs 101,000 to the hospital. Others present at a discussion program organized at the school also announced to donate another Rs 15 million for the same cause.
Dashain Run for good health
Bishnu Karki, founder of Ujjwal Tara School and one of the organizers of the 'Third Ujjwal Tara Dashain run for good health' program said that the school is always ready to support positive works in society.
Krishna Hari Thapa, mayor of Kageshwari Manahora Municipality, vowed to support the program, both financially and physically.
Dr Koirala happily appreciated the amount provided by Ujjwal Tara School and the locals of the municipality to build the world-class children's hospital in Bansbari, Kathmandu.
