MYAGDI, Aug 28: The avalanche-blocked Boksi rivulet in Thasang Rural Municipality-2 in Mustang district has started flowing again since this morning after about 13 hours.
The rivulet was completely blocked by the avalanche that fell from Manapathi Mountain in the Dhaulagiri glacier on Tuesday evening.
Spokesperson for the municipal executive Gautam Sherchan, also the ward chair of Thasang-2, said the river that was blocked since Tuesday morning has started flowing again.

"The rivulet was completely dried up due to the accumulation of snow and landslide at around 5.45 PM on Tuesday," he said, adding, "We have adopted precautionary measures in the embankment areas with the water level gradually increasing in the rivulet.”
Sherchan said the snow piled up in gorges melted by the water current of the rivulet.
Nine houses in the embankment areas were shifted to safer places at night.
Thasang Rural Municipality-2 ward member Bhim Prasad Thakali said that the snow and landslides have not caused any human or physical damage.
It was said that snow Accumulated up to about one kilometer below Mulkharka of the rivulet.
