KATHMANDU, March 9: Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 138.70, while the selling rate is Rs 139.30.
Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is Rs 150.49, and the selling rate is Rs 151.14. The buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 179.17, with the selling rate at Rs 179.95. Likewise, the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 157.76 and a selling rate of Rs 158.44.
For other major currencies, the buying and selling rates are as follows: one Australian dollar at Rs 87.40 and Rs 87.78, one Canadian dollar at Rs 96.91 and Rs 97.33, and one Singapore dollar at Rs 104.27 and Rs 104.72, respectively.

The exchange rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.40 for buying and Rs 9.44 for selling. Similarly, one Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 19.17 for buying and Rs 19.25 for selling. The buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 36.97, while the selling rate is Rs 37.13. Likewise, one Qatari riyal has been set at Rs 38.05 for buying and Rs 38.22 for selling.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the exchange rate for one Thai baht’s buying rate is Rs 4.12 and selling at Rs 4.14. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 37.76 for buying and Rs 37.93 for selling. Meanwhile, the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 31.42 and a selling rate of Rs 31.55. The South Korean won per 100 units is valued at Rs 9.59 for buying and Rs 9.63 for selling. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 13.72 for buying and Rs 13.78 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 20.18 and a selling rate of Rs 20.26.
Furthermore, the central bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.85 and the selling rate at Rs 17.92. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 450.25 for buying and Rs 452.20 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 367.92 for buying and Rs 369.51 for selling, while the Omani riyal has a buying rate of Rs 360.27 and a selling rate of Rs 361.83. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to change at any time as necessary. It has also mentioned that commercial banks may have different exchange rates and that the updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
