Exchange rate for US Dollar remains stable, Euro and Pound sterling increase

According to the latest exchange rates, the value of the US dollar remains stable. However, the values of the European euro, UK pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Japanese yen, Malaysian ringgit, Swedish krona, Danish krone, Kuwaiti dinar, Hong Kong dollar, Bahraini dinar, and others have increased.

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined the exchange rates for foreign currencies today.


According to the latest exchange rates, the value of the US dollar remains stable. However, the values of the European euro, UK pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Japanese yen, Malaysian ringgit, Swedish krona, Danish krone, Kuwaiti dinar, Hong Kong dollar, Bahraini dinar, and others have increased. On the other hand, the value of the Bahraini dinar has dropped, while some foreign currencies remain stable.


According to the fixed rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 136.56 and the selling rate is Rs 137.16.

The buying rate for one European euro is Rs 142.67 and the selling rate is Rs 143.30, while for the UK pound sterling, the buying rate is Rs 172.09 and the selling rate is Rs 172.84. The buying rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 151.46 and the selling rate is Rs 152.12.


The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 85.23 and the selling rate is Rs 85.61, while for one Canadian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 94.99 and the selling rate is Rs 95.41. The buying rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 100.72 and the selling rate is Rs 101.17.


For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 yen is Rs 8.66 and the selling rate is Rs 8.70, while for one Chinese yuan, the buying rate is Rs 18.71 and the selling rate is Rs 18.79. For one Saudi Arabian riyal, the buying rate is Rs 36.37 and the selling rate is Rs 36.53, and for one Qatari riyal, the buying rate is Rs 37.46 and the selling rate is Rs 37.62.


According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.01 and the selling rate is Rs 4.03. For the UAE dirham, the buying rate is Rs 37.18 and the selling rate is Rs 37.34, and for one Malaysian ringgit, the buying rate is Rs 30.58 and the selling rate is Rs 30.72.


For one South Korean won, the buying rate for 100 won is Rs 9.27 and the selling rate is Rs 9.31. The buying rate for one Swedish krona is Rs 12.42 and the selling rate is Rs 12.47, and for one Danish krone, the buying rate is Rs 19.13 and the selling rate is Rs 19.21.


The NRB has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.60 and the selling rate at Rs 17.68. For the Kuwaiti dinar, the buying rate is Rs 443.30 and the selling rate is Rs 445.25, while for the Bahraini dinar, the buying rate is Rs 361.99 and the selling rate is Rs 363.58. The buying rate for one Omani rial is Rs 354.68 and the selling rate is Rs 356.24. Similarly, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160 and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.


The NRB has mentioned that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as required. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank's website.
