BENI, March 8: An earthquake struck Saturday morning with its epicenter in Mudi, Dhulagiri Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center reported that the earthquake occurred at 3:14 AM with a magnitude of 4, centered in Mudi.
The tremor shook Mudi and surrounding areas, including Muna, Takam, Marang, Malkabang, Darbang, Devi Sthan, and other parts of western Myagdi. Ward chairperson of Dhulagiri Rural Municipality-4, Yam Bahadur Gharti, said that many people rushed outside after feeling a strong tremor while still lying in bed.

So far, no reports of human or material damage have been received.
Previously, on February 25, earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.4 were recorded near Devi Sthan and around Dandagaun in western Myagdi, and a 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred near Muna.
