Rescue operation led by Nepali Army and APF personnel underway in Dadeldhura bus accident site  (With Photos)

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: A rescue operation is currently underway in Dadeldhura, where a  bus accident claimed four lives and injured 12 others. Separate teams from the Nepali Army and the Armed Police Force (APF) have been deployed to assist in the rescue efforts.

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: A rescue operation is currently underway in Dadeldhura, where a  bus accident claimed four lives and injured 12 others. Separate teams from the Nepali Army and the Armed Police Force (APF) have been deployed to assist in the rescue efforts.


The accident occurred last night when the bus traveling from Mahendranagar to Purchaudi, Baitadi, crashed at Khasrekhan in Amargadhi Municipality-7. According to Police Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam from the Dadeldhura District Police Office, two women, one man, and an infant died on the spot.

The victims include Jayamati Bohara, 45, Kamala Bohara, 20, her son, and Sahadev Bohara, 22– all residents of Purchaudi Municipality-3 in Baitadi.


Inspector Bam also reported that the bus driver, Birendra Bohara, sustained serious injuries and has been transported to Dhangadhi for treatment. Other injured passengers are receiving care at Dadeldhura Hospital. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident may have been caused by the driver falling asleep at the wheels.
