DADELDHURA, Oct 16: A night bus accident in Dadeldhura has resulted in the death of four people while 12 others have been injured.
A night bus traveling from Mahendranagar to Purchaudi, Baitadi, met with an accident last night at Khasrekhan in Amargadhi Municipality-7, Dadeldhura, resulting in the deaths of four people.
Seven killed, 24 injured in Dadeldhura bus accident
Two women, one man, and an infant died at the scene of the accident, according to Police Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam of the District Police Office.
In the accident, Jayamati Bohara,45, Kamala Bohara,20 her son, and Sahadev Bohara, 22, all from Purchaudi Municipality-3 in Baitadi, lost their lives.
According to Police Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam, the bus driver, Birendra Bohara, was seriously injured and has been sent to Dhangadhi for treatment. Other injured passengers are being treated at Dadeldhura Hospital. The police suspect that the accident may have occurred because the driver fell asleep.
