DADELDHURA, Oct 16: The death toll in the Dadeldhura bus accident has reached five. At the scene of the incident, the body of one more person was found trapped under the roof of the bus, bringing the total fatalities to five.
Police Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, said that the body of Gobani Mahara, 60, of Purchaudi Municipality-10, Baitadi, was recovered from the scene of the incident.

According to Inspector Bam, her body was found only at around 11 AM during search and rescue operations. The night bus (Na 8 Kha 1078) traveling from Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur to Purchaudi, Baitadi, met with an accident last night at Khasrekhan in Amargadhi Municipality-7, Dadeldhura.
Four others who died in the accident have already been identified including Jayamati Bohara, 45, of Purchaudi; Sahadev Bohora, 22, and Kamala Bohara, 20, and her son, all from Purchaudi Municipality-3 in Baitadi.
Police Inspector Bam said that 12 people, including bus driver Birendra Bohora, who were seriously injured in the accident, have been sent to Dhangadhi for further treatment. Meanwhile, 11 other people were also injured in the accident.
The bus veered off the road and fell about 300 meters along the Pokhara-Belapur road. The cause of the accident has not been revealed. Police are continuing their search operation on the suspicion that others might have been missing in the accident.
