Health Ministry ranked second in ministerial progress analysis

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has ranked the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) second in its semi-annual ministerial progress analysis.

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has ranked the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) second in its semi-annual ministerial progress analysis.


Health Minister Pradip Paudel and Health Secretary Dr Roshan Pokharel signed a performance agreement with the Chief Secretary. Spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki stated that, according to the progress report up to the month of Poush (mid-December to mid-January), the OPMCM ranked the MoHP third based on institutional evaluation and second among ministries.

He stated that the MoHP completed nine out of the eleven tasks scheduled for completion by mid-January, out of a total of 52. 


The OPMCM reviewed the ministry’s milestones in the social sector and reported that it achieved 81.8 percent progress. Similarly, in the milestone progress assessment for ongoing projects with specific targets, the MoHP scored 70 points, the highest among ministries working in the social sector.


Spokesperson Budhathoki said that the office awarded the MoHP 81.8 points based on this progress.
