KATHMANDU, April 19: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has appealed to the Supreme Court against the decisions made by the Special Court on various dates.
The CIAA filed a case demanding imprisonment and a fine for corruption involving Rs 8.52 million against the then District Coordination Officer of Sunsari, Gopal Rajbhandari. The Special Court ruled on this case on May 7, 2024. The CIAA has now appealed this decision in the Supreme Court.
Similarly, the CIAA filed a case against Nilkantha Pokhrel, the then Acting Head of the Agriculture Development Directorate in Gandaki Province, and others, claiming a loss of Rs 2.837 million. The Special Court ruled on this case on June 4, 2024.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) accused Ganeshman Singh, the then Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Mahawai Rural Municipality in Kalikot, and others of corruption amounting to Rs 3.88 million and filed a case against them. The CIAA ruled on this case on August 17, 2024.
Similarly, the CIAA accused Surendra Bahadur Bisht, the then Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Shailyashkhir Rural Municipality, and others of corruption amounting to RS 2.603 million, and filed a case against them. The CIAA ruled on this case on February 4, 2024.
The CIAA filed a case against Udaykrishna Adhikari, the Senior Field Assistant at Rural Development Microfinance Financial Institution, accusing him of corruption amounting to Rs 1.902 million.
The CIAA ruled on this case on September 22, 2024. Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel informed that the CIAA has separately appealed the Special Court's decision in the Supreme Court on Friday.
