Police HQ orders 30 contactless officers to report within seven days

Failure to report within seven days will result in their dismissal from service.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26 The Nepal Police Headquarters has instructed 30 police officers who have been out of contact to report back within seven days.



The headquarters released a list of officers who have been absent without leave and have not communicated with the headquarters since the month of Ashoj (mid-September). These officers have been given a deadline to return and provide a satisfactory explanation for their absence.

Failure to report within seven days will result in their dismissal from service, as per Rule 109 (b) 1 of the Police Regulations, according to the Police Headquarters.


Among those unaccounted for are 30 officers, including two assistant head constables and a constable, who have been out of contact for over two months.
