KATHMANDU, Oct 3: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC), a joint committee of both houses of the Federal Parliament, has unanimously endorsed Chitra Lekha Yadav as Nepal’s ambassador for Australia. 


Committee Member Prakash Adhikari confirmed to Republica that after the PHC held a hearing on her, for almost four hours, starting from 1 PM to 5 PM, at Singha Durbar, the committee made such a decision.

There were 12 committee members presented at the meeting. 


A Cabinet meeting held on September 10 had recommended Yadav as Nepal’s ambassador for Australia.
