KATHMANDU, June 23: Nepali Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, presented his credentials to the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.
Ambassador Oli presented his credentials at a special ceremony held at the Amphorn Royal Palace in Thailand on Saturday, according to the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok.
After presenting his credentials, Ambassador Oli had a courtesy meeting with the Thai King. On this occasion, on behalf of President Ram Chandra Paudel, Ambassador Oli conveyed best wishes to the Thai King for his personal happiness and good health, as well as for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the friendly people of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Ambassador Oli highlighted that Nepal and Thailand share close and friendly relations, which have historically been sustained with mutual respect between both governments and peoples. He emphasized that shared culture and common values have strengthened the bonds between the two countries.
Both countries have mentioned cooperation and support at regional and international levels, along with the strong relations between the peoples of Nepal and Thailand, which have supported the development of Buddhism since ancient times.
Ambassador Oli conveyed President Paudel's desire to welcome the Thai King at an appropriate time in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, and Janakpur, the capital of Maharaja Rajarshi Janak.
In response, Thai King graciously accepted President Paudel's invitation. Expressing gratitude for the invitation, President Paudel extended his wishes for the King's well-being and prosperity of the Nepali people. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of Thailand was present at the special ceremony where the credentials was presented to the king.
Welcoming Ambassador Oli, who assumed office in Thailand, Thai King expressed his best wishes for his successful tenure.
